PatternMaker Marker Studio is a very useful software in the sewing industry, features marker making, specially designed for any manufacturers that would like to make their own production markers. It’s indeed an extended version of PatternMaker Professional Studio (formerly called Home Studio) along with PatternMaker Grading Studio.
With PatternMaker Marker Studio, you can use a digitizing tablet to trace paper patterns into the computer; copy your slopers into the computer; and trace small-scale patterns from books or magazines, then use the “Expand” command to make them full-size. Plus, its marking features help user arrange the piece in a marker; determine how efficient your arrangement is; and track information for costing and production purposes. Broadly speaking, PatternMaker Marker Studio enables you to perform all functions in the production process within the same software package, ranging from initial pattern design to altering and grading to printing production markers.
For manufacturers, PatternMaker Marker Studio adds the production marker making ability to the CAD tools of PatternMaker Professional Studio, and includes the grading features and digitizer support from PatternMaker Grading Studio. It can work very well with any Windows-driven printing, plotting or cutting machines (including the large-format plotters) automatically. That’s to say, you are allowed to produce pages up to 48″ wide. However, Microsoft Windows OS does not support printing devices wider than 48″ at all. Yet fortunately, the clothing manufacturers or apparel makers usually are able to provide their own printer drivers for a specific printer or plotter.
