The uptime reliability of websites or servers (for example: file servers, mail servers, routers…) is crucial for web site operators, sometimes even fatal (because that seriously affects visitors’ user experience). At the same time, this is also one of the two most important and basic measures to a server’s quality (the other one is visiting speed).

SiteMonitor is a convenient and easy-to-use website/server/host monitoring tool that specially developed for webmasters or administrators. It works by executing http/https pings to check the online status of a website at regular intervals. If your website or host goes down at some point, it will soon send you an Email and/or an SMS message as alerts; Whereas if your website works alright, it also record the server’s activity log for your future reference.

The activity statistics gathered from websites or servers are saved in CSV format of log files, which can be used for future reference. With help of the response graphs, you can intuitively watch server uptime reports. And SiteMonitor is also ideal for server environments, because it can be run as a Windows Service. Besides, it allows to view the status of monitored websites/hosts from anywhere via the web interface it provides. BTW, just because it uses ping command to test the connectivity of websites, that means you can use SiteMonitor to monitor the uptime status of any websites.
