Torrent File Editor is a free, open-source and cross-platform BitTorrent file "laundering" edge tool developed by Ivan Romanov from Russia. It was written using Qt framework, and specially designed to create and edit .torrent files.
The appearance of µTorrent (AKA: uTorrent) made all torrent file downloaders overshadow (especially the BitTorrent or BitComet which was popular for a long time), because it is much more lightweight, powerful, fast, clear and easy to use (written in C++). For now, it has been really worthy of the #1 and most popular torrent download client on desktop worldwide.
It was originally written in C++ by Christophe Dumez (from France) in 2006 when he was a student. Now it's maintained by worldwide volunteers on their spare time. qBittorrent is a free, open-source and cross-platform BitTorrent client (torrent file downloader) with nice UI based on Qt and built-in search engines.
