Thingamablog is free cross-platform blogging application based on Java, in short, it is similar to the enterprise self-building system, just establish a blog with self-help! Different from other similar blog site builders, Thingamablog does not need dynamic languages and database support, as long as your hosting supports FTP, you can write offline and then upload them to your site.

In addition, you can also save blog articles in your computer, even as a private diary! Of course, if would like to, you can also edit articles in the HTML editor directly instead of using this software, but i have to say that needs you have enough energy and time, isn’t it?

Although Thingamablog is a ultra simple blogging client, yet has all the basic functions of general blog programs, for example, it supports custom theme, custom CSS, ping service. Also benefited from its pure static contents, Thingamablog makes webpage load fast, which also be helpful for SEO.

The shortcoming is Thingamablog does not support comment and built-in search, accordingly, we can use the free site search codes of Google CSE instead, as for comment function, we can choose a free 3rd-party comment system like DISQUS.
