Learning the alphabets is fundamental to anyone who wants to read and write. Likewise, the ability of recognizing notes by ear is essential to all musicians, including Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, and Ludwig van Beethoven these great composers. They all must have the Absolute Pitch skill – essentially a mapping between the sound you hear in your mind and the corresponding note on the instrument.
Absolute Pitch Trainer (AKA: Perfect Pitch) is a program that is specially designed to help users develop their Absolute Pitch skill. It uses a special algorithm to build your Absolute Pitch skill level to 100% step by step. Users start from learning one note that is played an equal amount of times across all octaves on the piano keyboard. Then, it constantly gauges your progress, and adds a second note when you are ready for it. This process continues stage by stage until the entire 12 notes of the chromatic scale are added and played across all octaves of the piano keyboard. Otherwise, you can tell the software how many notes to play.
Researches show that, color tone can be used as a mnemonic device to memorize musical tone. Therefore, Absolute Pitch Trainer comes with such a feature called color hint. When it’s enabled, it will display respective colors for each note that is being played. Absolute Pitch Trainer allows user to connect the inbuilt virtual keyboard by pointing and clicking on the right note with your mouse, or to connect your MIDI keyboard by plugging it into your computer via a USB port (pressing the keys on your MIDI keyboard registers with the software, just the same as if you were using the inbuilt virtual keyboard).
