Diablo 1 HD MOD is currently the most advanced and popular Diablo 1‘s HD mod package, made by Wojtek25. It includes two modification projects with code names: Belzebub (single-player) and Tchernobog (multi-player).

The original Diablo does not support high-resolution display. Belzebub version completely solved this problem. It supports multiple resolution settings (up to 1920 x 1080), and allows to switch between window & full screen modes. This makes the view of game map become much broader, and makes the overall graphics become more clear.

Tchernobog is actually the multi-player mode of Diablo 1 HD MOD: Belzebub. This MOD new added LAN and Internet online game modes. Of course, it also retained the offline game mode. In game, the character player uses will be shared in both single-player and multi-player modes, which makes the entire game look brand-new.

As a loyal player of Diablo series, Wojtek25 made Diablo become another classic masterpiece after remaking. // How to play //

for Belzebub:

1. Copy all files from mod archive to Diablo 1 game folder (modification requires OpenAL library installed which is included in the archive), then run the mod
2. Run Belzebub.exe file to start game

*** Remember that, mod requires mounted Diablo 1 CD in a virtual drive or diabdat.mpq copied to it’s root folder

for Tchernobog:

How to play through LAN:

1. Add Tchernobog.exe into Windows firewall (this is required, because the game uses UDP)
2. Create a multiplayer mode, fill in your IP address
3. Use the above IP address to join the multiplayer game you just created from another computer in the same LAN
4. Start game

How to play through Internet:

1. Add Tchernobog.exe into Windows firewall (this is required, because the game uses UDP)
2. Get your LAN IP address by typing ‘ipconfig‘ in cmd.exe
3. Redirect your router and 18887 port to your local IP address
4. Check your external network IP address
5. Create a multiplayer mode
6. Tell another player to use your IP address to join your multi-player game
