EasySMB is a small or portable tool specially made for file sharing in the LAN (local area network). It was developed based on Qt4, written using the QFileSystemModel/QTreeView/QListView structure. Although it had stopped developing long time ago, I believe there will be still some demands from a small number of users for this small but practical tool in some cases. Because its file transfer is faster and more stable than any other IM programs, and it doesn’t require an Internet connection at all.
As a local area network file sharing tool, EasySMB has a single function, simple user interface, supports the automatic update of network neiborhood list, and supports for automatic file return after opening and editing this file. There is no difficulty in using it: you only need to input a computer’s IP address in the local area network, and press enter, then it will display all the shared files/folders on the host for you to view, edit and download. Therefore, EasySMB is very suitable for colleagues to share files within a small business LAN.
