Empires Apart is a multiplayer real-time strategy game against the background of middle ages, developed by DESTINYbit from Italy. On the map randomly generated by the game, players act as one of the six distinct factions (each has its own characteristics) to explore maps, collect resources, build fortifications, train soldiers, build forces, establish civilization and economy, develop agriculture, science and technology, trade with allies, resist the enemy’s invasions, and constantly develop (from medieval to modern) until finally unify the whole continent.
Empires Apart has the basically similar operations with Microsoft’s Age of Empires II. To some extent, it can be regarded as the cartoon edition of Age of Empires 2 remade using the Unreal Engine 4 game engine, which comes with very clear graphics and greatly enhanced operability, playability, and so on. It supports up to 8 players to play in the VS mode online. You can also choose the skirmish mode to play against AI and train your skills. The essence of Empires Apart is not limited to developing resources, or attacking cities and seizing territories between players, also focuses on the process of developing into a powerful nation of science and technology from the founding in the middle ages in a fast-paced game. Of course, only in the case that you are not captured by enemies can this come true.
Admitting that there are so many similar RTS works, Empires Apart can bring a brand-new gaming experience and ultra high playability to players. If you are a fan of real-time strategy games, you will enjoy the elegant, minimalist style of graphics and fire-new, fast-paced game play while reviewing the classic elements in some old RTS games once extremely popular on PC.
