As we all know, the integrity of a file can be quickly determined by checking its hash value (i.e.: find out whether two files have identical content or not). There are many file hash checking tools out there, even Windows PowerShell can compute hashes of files directly, but most of them are designed for a single file.

HashTools is a small, free tool for generating and validating file hashes in bulk, developed by Binary Fortress Software from Canada. With one click, it can quickly compute and verify various hashes for all files in a folder or multiple files manually added by the user. Although the function is simple, it can bring great convenience to users who often need to publish a large number of files and verify the integrity of them in batch.

HashTools supports multiple hash algorithms, including CRC32, MD5, SHA1, SHA256, SHA384, and SHA512. The most common ones are MD5 and SHA1. The generated hash values can be copied directly to the clipboard or exported for use as SFV files. In addition, HashTools can be integrated into the context menu of Windows Explorer for quick access.
