When buying new audio hardware, you’d better check to see if your system is compatible with its specs first. Because if the system configuration is too low, then this device will probably not work properly. At this point, you can use LatencyMon to do a complete check and know the details. At the same time, it is also able to adjust the audio device with various problems to run in its best state.

LatencyMon is a professional real-time audio suitability checking software that can quickly examine, analyze and troubleshoot the root causes of various audio hardware problems (such as audio latency, audio dropouts, and persistent noise-clicks – clicks, pops and bangs). It is mainly used to check whether a Windows operating system is configured well enough to handle the real-time audio, or to let user find the optimal configuration scheme.

LatencyMon provides a DPC monitor, an ISR monitor, and a hard pagefaults monitor, which can accurately measure and display the DPC and ISR execution time, as well as the hard pagefaults. It also lets the user know the audio delay condition (that is, find out which ones are causing the delay) of each running process or installed driver (especially the sound card driver), and allows various test parameters to be adjusted in the options window.

Finally, AppNee would like to thank Red Bill for recommending this software to us. Before that, I never knew its existence. At the same time, it should be noted that this software is not made for beginners, but only for advanced computer users – especially those who need to process and play real-time audio signals on their computers.
