If you are reading this post, you are likely a guy who works sitting in front of a computer most of the time every day. The same question we all should ask ourselves is “At the end of day, is our work efficiency in front of computer high enough?”. I am sure that answers of the vast majority of people are no. Then, how to effectively solve this?

ManicTime is an excellent user behavior monitoring, recording and statistical program runs in the background. It is dedicated to track users’ everyday computer usages (including which programs you ran, when they started, how long they took, when the computer was idle, etc.), and shows these information in detailed and intuitive charts. The final purpose is to find those main time-wasting “culprits” out, then effectively improve our work efficiency and save time (that’s life).

Unlike many similar online applications (such as RescueTime), all data collected by ManicTime is completely stored in the local database (won’t be sent to any other places), this improves security and practicality. In other words, this means you can use ManicTime offline. In addition, you can apply ManicTime to your children or employees too, in order to analyze how they usually use their computers. Of course, this involves personal privacy, you have to make reasonable use.
