If you’re looking for the most popular IDEs for PHP, AppNee thinks the Top 5 for both personal and business choices will be PhpED, PhpStorm, Sublime Text, NetBeans and phpDesigner. As for Zend Studio, Dreamweaver or Eclipse with PDT, I personally think that their times have gone!

Anyway, for PHP in particular NuSphere PhpED is still regarded as the best and most professional (like its unparalleled PHP debugging and compression capabilities) IDE with the most abundant features (especially its built-in awesome debugger and local web server which can work together totally automatically, built-in PHP and MySQL manuals, etc.), which just has no contest. And I do believe a large part of PHP programmers will agree with me, even some guys will stick to using PhpED through the virtual machine (like Wine or Parallels Desktop) on Mac OS X.
