RealityCapture is a universal, full-featured photogrammetric application developed by Capturing Reality from China. It is primarily used to completely automatically create 3D models for fields including cultural heritage (art and architecture), full-body scanning, gaming, surveying, mapping, visual effects (VFX) and virtual reality (VR). It is significantly superior to all existing photogrammetric solutions in terms of speed, accuracy and mesh quality.

As a powerful and efficient 3D model automatic scanning/production software, RealityCapture provides many high-quality production tools. For both virtual reality model production and architectural design, it can help users import photos into this software for model generation and accurate adjustment. In addition, it has not high requirements for hardware configuration, its rendering is very fast (because it works linearly, which means if its inputs are doubled, the processing time will be doubled as well), and can direct dock equipment, including cameras and unmanned aerial vehicle (uav).

RealityCapture is an advanced integrated Photogrammetric software solution that enables the automatic extraction of realistic and accurate 3D models from a group of common, unordered photographs (can be terrestrial or aerial) and/or image data obtained by laser scanning, and allows a full range of editing and processing to these 3D models.

RealityCapture gives you a great deal of freedom in your work. With it in hand, you just need to grab your digital camera or mobile phone (and they don’t have to be equipped with expensive professional camera lens), take some photos, and import them into this software to create an accurate 3D model in just a few minutes. Therefore, it is very suitable for people who work on virtual reality, game, surveyor, and other professions to use.
