As I was studying Unity game development, I found the official video tutorials extremely confusing and not suitable for real beginners. So I searched for Unity related tutorial books around and found Sams Teach Yourself, Unity Game Development in 24 Hours. Because I was very impressed with the books in the Sams Teach Yourself series, I finally chose this book as part of the next stage of learning Unity. Hopefully after that I could officially start my game development mission.

The Unity game engine is a powerful and easy-to-use development tool for both novice and experienced game developers. The purpose of this book is to make the use of Unity engine accessible to the reader in the shortest possible time (that should take only 24 hours in theory, but at least 48 hours in practice), and to include some basic principles for game development. Unlike other books that have only theoretical parts or only one game case throughout the whole book, this book covers almost all the important parts of the learning process of Unity engine, as well as the entire development process of four games!

In the tradition of Sams Teach Yourself series, Sams Teach Yourself, Unity Game Development in 24 Hours is divided into 24 chapters, each of which takes about one hour to learn. When you finish reading this book, you should know enough about the Unity game engine, and could start practicing immediately. In addition, this book has no restrictions on the reader, whether you are a pure newcomer who has no experience in game development or programming, or a veteran in this field, you can always learn what you need from it.
