Many classic ebooks and tutorials are released in CHM format, while Android doesn’t support viewing these files by default. Even many popular ebook readers (such as Moon+ Reader, FBReader, Librera) have poor support for CHM format. In this case, we have to use specialized CHM readers such like SuperCHM, Chm Shelf and Chm Reader X.
SuperCHM is a small, simple, compact, easy-to-use yet very powerful and popular CHM file reader, developed by SuperSoftTech (Jinrong Zheng) from China. It offers category, zoom in/out, bookmark, search, full-screen reading, auto-wrap, brightness adjustment, night mode, background and font color settings, multi-language coding options, screen orientation and many more useful reading features. It’s been discontinued, but it’s still going great.
SuperCHM uses a highly optimized CHM parsing engine with better performance, has clear text typesetting, can automatically scan and import your CHM e-books, open large CHM files (much faster than similar apps), supports automatic saving of reading progress and page settings, and has better compatibility with malformed CHM files (can open some CHM files that other CHM readers cannot). In addition, it allows you to use volume buttons to turn pages, and supports fast scrolling using the scroll bar in page.
In the free version, there is one AD when reading, but you can disable it in the settings. The pro version has the same functions as the free version, but without ADs. The mod version removes all ads and evaluation, purchase mark.
