MakeHuman is a free and open-source realistic 3D human characters modeling tool for illustrations, animations, games, or Zbrush/Mudbox sculpting on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux platforms. It was developed (before version 0.9, written in only C; after version 1.0, in C and Python; from version 1.0.2, only in Python) by a community of programmers, artists, and academics with passion, who are interested in 3D modeling of characters and take contribution for a better world as its purpose.
