MikuMikuDance (MMD for short) is a very small, simple but powerful and easy-to-use free 3D animation program, developed by Yu Higuchi (樋口 優) from Japan in 2008, using C++ and DirectX SDK. It enables users to animate and create 3D animated films, and is mainly used by fans of the Sony/Sega VOCALOID product to make promotion videos of VOCALOID series.
