The functionality of Windows built-in clipboard is so limited that it is difficult to satisfy those users who often need to perform a large number of operations with text in daily work. As a consequence, applications like AceText were born at the right moment. It extends the functionality of Windows clipboard, provides a number of additional features, such as: manage notes, monitor RSS feeds, and much more.

Paste As File – Directly paste clipboard contents as files

Usually, to save a whole web page or just part of the content to our local disk, we have only two ways for choise: 1) use the browser built-in print function (Ctrl + P) to save an entire page as a PDF file; 2) copy the corresponding content and paste them into a local, new created TXT or DOC file, which requires at least 4 steps to finish: copy the text and/or image -> create a new file and name it -> open this new file -> paste the content from clipboard to file and save the file.

Almost every day we need to repeat copying/pasting operations countlessly, yet the Windows built-in clipboard can only hold one record every time, and disappears immediately after shutdown; Storing them in a plain text document does not support multimedia file formats; Using Office document instead, neither does that support shortcut link and other special formats, nor the multimedia typesetting format is easy to control in style; In particular, separating text content and media files is always not a good idea.

CLCL – Practical clipboard history caching, recording utility

Copying (Ctrl + C) & pasting (Ctrl + V) functions greatly improve the efficiency of computer office. But the Windows built-in clipboard can only hold one record, which becomes the biggest limit to the Coping/Pasting function.
