RUNNING WITH RIFLES (RWR for short) is a cartoonish tactical action shooting game with top-down view. It combines the popular elements in some classic series of games, such as Battlefield, Crimsonland, Recruits, and Men Of War, in order to cater to the favor of more players. Although only a small game with simple graphics, it comes with impressive and appealing gameplay and game modes.

Exanima is a dungeon exploration based hardcore action role-playing game, developed by Bare Mettle Entertainment from London. Players need to explore, fight and survive in a dark underworld (set in the Middle Ages of Europe), collect weapons and items, defeat enemies, solve puzzles, and finally find a way out of here. The overall game is very demanding on the player’s controls and tactics, and clicking a mouse like in a traditional A-RPG won’t get you very far.

First of all, very few people knew about this game, and even at the time, it was rare to see a cartridge of this game on the market. I accidentally played this game at my classmate’s house when I was in primary school. Unfortunately, I didn’t remember its name at that time, just remembered its unique gameplay. It wasn’t until more than 20 years later that I found it in an FC game forum where I got help by describing the gameplay I remembered.
