Only a few ones could stand out or in other words were selected by AppNee in dozens of PHP-driven universal file hosting scripts, which include the very popular uCloud (formerly called Cloudable) and the Yetishare (uCloud’s successor) developed by MFScripts from United Kingdom). In this post, we will introduce uCloud first, in another post it will be about Yetishare or Veno File Manager.

[v1.0] Imager – Simple and minimal image hosting script

Imager is a simple and minimal image hosting script, but had been discontinued. It was written in PHP, designed for creating a small yet full-featured image sharing/hosting website, which lets your users easily upload images to your web server or Amazon S3 service via a clean interface with Drag & Drop support.

[v1.8] Reservo – Powerful image hosting service script

As a commercial image hosting script, Chevereto is excellent and popular. In fact, its functions are almost perfect. But for a long time, it has a common fault in similar applications – the process of uploading images requires a lot of physical memory. Especially when uploading large images, the memory consumption is even more frightening.

VestaCP – Very popular and powerful alternative of cPanel

As of writing this post (at least 5 months ago), AppNee is officially ready to move to a VPS hosting. But because the server administrator was accustomed to use the popular, simple and friendly inbuilt cPanel web hosting control panel (WHCP) on a shared hosting, at the very start, operating a VPS under the command line (via Linux Terminal) is confusing, very ungainly and inefficient. Fortunately, we eventually realized that after buying a new VPS, AppNee must start to install and use an open-source, free web hosting control panel to replace the cPanel, with which we can easily set the server and manage websites inside as before – in a visual and efficient method.
