Uniform Server (full name: The Uniform Server, formerly called Mini Server, AKA: UniServerZ, UniServer Zero, Uniform Server Zero) is a free, open-source, easy-to-use and lightweight WAMP (Apache + MySQL + PHP + Perl) local server solution for Windows, specially made for local web development.
This server package comes with small file size, modular design, consists of the latest versions of Apache, Perl, PHP, MySQL, MariaDB, phpMyAdmin or Adminer, and allows to switch between multiple stable versions of these modules. It’s officially portable, no installation required, no registry dust, all you need to is just unpack and run this server environment.
I think with Uniform Server we can finally say goodbye to those bloated, hard to use, or outdated MAMP (PRO), XAMPP, WampServer, or USBWebserver. Both beginner webmasters and experienced web developers can use Uniform Server to make it more convenient and easier to develop and test web applications that require Apache, PHP, MySQL, Perl, and other server environments.
