Xenu’s Link Sleuth (Xenu for short) is a well received by industry and widely used utility designed for searching and checking the validity of all links on a website or in a file. It may be the smallest but most powerful and very simple to use broken links checker you have seen.
Xenu’s Link Sleuth supports the validity check of local links and online website links, at the same time it also supports the link validity checking recorded in a text file (one URL at each line). Xenu’s Link Sleuth will separately list the live links and dead links, even for redirection links it can also analysis clearly. Besides, it allows validation in multi-threading simultaneously.
After all links checked, the broken links will be marked in red, so as to be convenient for network administrators to look over, in addition, the whole result list can be exported as a report for future use.
