In recent years, with the progress of information processing and analyzing technologies, many QDA (qualitative data analysis) programs have been equipped with very comprehensive and perfect functions, and provide us with more possibilities of using software to analyze text and multimedia data. Software can save time, make it easy to find data, and is more standardized. Especially when the data is too much and the analysis takes very long time, the advantage of software becomes more obvious. In addition, the use of software also provides convenience for multiple users to process materials at the same time in a teamwork.

At present, in the field of QDA (Qualitative Data Analysis), the three most commonly used programs are ATLAS.ti, NVivo, MAXQDA. Among them, ATLAS.ti is a powerful workbench for performing qualitative analysis to large volumes of text, image, audio and video data, developed by Thomas Muhr from Germany in 1992. It can effectively manage and analyze various types of qualitative data, including documents, pictures, audio and video, and is the best tool to achieve the Grounded Theory at present.

Sophisticated and comprehensive tools can help users organize, integrate and manage their data in a creative and systematic way. ATLAS.ti lets you focus your attention on the data itself. Whether your field of expertise is anthropology, business, marketing, criminology, economics, education, history, law, medicine, politics, psychology, sociology, ATLAS.ti will always meet your needs for qualitative analysis of data!

Finally, AppNee would like to remind you one more time: even if software can provide us with a variety of convenience, the center of qualitative analysis is still the researcher, because the researcher himself is the most powerful analytical tool. And, the thought of researcher in any qualitative research is crucial. Instead, any program can only do some auxiliary works, helping us save time and energy, but cannot replace our thinking.
