For privacy protection and data security purposes, it is very necessary to set a login password for the Windows user in use in many environments (especially the public places). But sometimes, we may forget our login password for those computers we don’t use very often, or remember the wrong password, and fail to log in. This case, reinstalling the operating system is a inadvisable bad plan; and taking brute-force password cracking is extremely inefficient. Therefore, clearing the original user password has always been the first choice – also the easiest and most efficient way.
Active@ Password Changer is a very classic and well-known Windows OS login password removal/reset tool that is designed for DOS and PE operating environments, which can 100% erase any local user’s password on Windows. Under Windows, the file SAM (under path: C:\Windows\System32\config\) that stores all Windows user information cannot be opened and edited directly. Of course, if you can log in to Windows, you either don’t have a password set for your account, or you already know it. This case, this tool has no meaning to exist.
Active@ Password Changer supports multiple hard drives, can automatically detect multiple SAM files (if you have multiple operating systems installed) and select the appropriate one for you. It is able to display all the information of local users stored in the SAM file, from which user only needs to simply select the user whose password needs to be reset. Besides, it also allows you to change or reset other settings of Windows account, such as disable accounts, make password never expire, lock accounts, require users to change passwords when they log in system next time, show when they log in, and so on. BTW, the functions of Active@ Password Changer are basically the same as PC Login Now. The difference is, PC Login Now only provides an ISO format of image file, while Active@ Password Changer provides multiple versions: including DOS, ISO, PE and Desktop environments.
Although there are so many similar tools out there used for removing or cracking Windows login passwords, Active@ Password Changer is definitely the most efficient solution with the highest success rate. If you forgot your computer’s login Password someday, or wanted to forcibly and seamlessly log into someone else’s computer with login password protection, all what you need is just a bootable device with Active@ Password Changer inside (because you need to run this tool under DOS or PE).
