Although most people today have never had access to a radio, it can be very useful in some situations. For example, when you are in an area without Internet or cell phone signal coverage, you can use a radio device to stay in touch with the outside world. For better and easier access to radio equipment, you’ll need third-party amateur radio tools like Ham Radio Deluxe (which are all much better than the official ones).

Ham Radio Deluxe is a comprehensive and powerful radio software that was originally developed by radio enthusiasts Peter Halpin (PH1PH) and Simon Brown (HB9DRV) from Switzerland in 2003, later required by HRD Software in 2021. Its flexibility and scalability are uncomparable for similar software, and it has been the first choice for amateur radio operators around the world.

Ham Radio Deluxe mainly covers five functional modules: radio control, communication log, digital communication, satellite tracking, and antenna rotation control. It supports most HF/VHF/UHF amateur radio transceiver types such as ICOM, Yaesu, Elecraft, FlexRadio, TEN-TEC, Kenwood, etc.

Ham Radio Deluxe enables us to completely eliminate the need to control the radio ourselves. Instead, you only need to connect your radio device to computer, then you can control the entire radio station with a mouse. It can help you with everything from the simplest adjustment of operating frequency, mode selection, scanning selection, frequency tuning to logging, GPS tracking, even communicating with each other using its own live chat tools, and more.
