The default Windows icons can get boring after using for a long time. Just like updating the style and layout of furniture in house once in a while, changing the Windows icons can not only make our system look better, but also bring a good mood to our daily computer use. Of course, we can set custom icons for most of the files/folders manually, but that is too inefficient and tiring.

IconPackager is a popular system desktop beautification tool, mainly used to help users easily and quickly change all the default icons of Windows, including files, folders, system icons, mouse cursors, etc. Besides, it also allows you to change some of the hidden settings of Windows, such as the cascade selection opening speed of the Start Menu, hiding the display of entries in the Start Menu, etc.

IconPackager has a number of built-in icon themes for you to choose from. You can apply individual icons or the whole icon theme. Of course, you can always revert to the Windows system default icons after applying changes. Even better, IconPackager can be used offline, which means that you don’t need to run it after you have changed Windows icons with it, because all icons will remain in the icon cache. In addition, you can download ready-made icon libraries from Stardock’s dedicated site, or use the built-in Package Builder to create and share your own icon libraries.
