Jailer is a powerful, easy-to-use, reliable and intelligent data extraction tool that can help developers easily export continuous and related row data directly from relational databases, and then directly use it in your own development/test environment. With help of Jailer, you can delete a specific row of data without compromising the integrity of other data, and improve the operating efficiency of database.

Jailer is a platform that runs independently, so it doesn’t matter if you don’t have the corresponding application required to run the database file. It can directly generate DbUnit data sets, topologically sorted SQL-DML and hierarchically structured XML documents, and supports database applications such as IBM Db2, Firebird, and Apache Derby. In addition to data extraction, you can also edit and execute SQL statements directly on the data browser interface, and edit the compiled results.

Jailer can connect to multiple databases at the same time, also allows users to create multiple database connections, supports PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, Microsoft SQL Server, IBM Db2, SQLite and other commonly used database applications. After the connection is successful, you can query data, analyze the database, create extraction models, and analyze SQL scripts, so as to filter the data you need and export it to the computer for use. In addition, Jailer also provides a case content, where you can learn how to export data.

// Key Features //

  • Exports consistent and referentially intact row-sets from your productive database and imports the data into your development and test environment.
  • Improves database performance by removing and archiving obsolete data without violating integrity.
  • Generates topologically sorted SQL-DML, hierarchically structured XML and DbUnit datasets.
  • Data Browsing. Navigate bidirectionally through the database by following foreign-key-based or user-defined relationships.
  • SQL Console with code completion, syntax highlighting and database metadata visualization.
  • A demo database is included with which you can get a first impression without any configuration effort.
