NextPVR is a simple, easy-to-use, free and cross-platform personal video recording (PVR) software, as well as a media center type of program. You can utilize it to watch the live television programs, play DVD movies, music, and browse photos that are stored on other devices in your home network. Or, you can use NextPVR to record your favorite TV shows for later reviewing.
In addition to providing basic TV program recording function, NextPVR also enables management of local media library, allowing user to play local video files, DVD movies and music. It supports multi-channel recording (to record multiple programs simultaneously), multiple clients (thus you can distribute your media experience at home), built-in Kodi/Emby integration, and more. You can even use its web interface to schedule and use your PC or mobile devices in the form of streaming media when you’re away from home.
NextPVR comes with a compact and clear user interface, as well as simple and fast operation. It allows users to record their favorite TV shows regularly, listen to the online radio, check the weather forecast, play music, play movies, search for TV programs, watch television, and so on.
