OctoMouse is a free and open-source tiny app specially made for Mac platform, developed by KonsomeJona (Jonathan Odul) from Japan, using Xcode and Cocoa framework in Objective-C. It is mainly used to measure your mouse and keyboard activities.

OctoMouse tracks your mouse and keyboard usage. It functions as a digital odometer for your computer, allowing you to monitor how far you’ve travelled with your mouse/trackpad, how many keys you’ve pressed, how long you’ve been using your computer, and more.

In short, with OctoMouse, you can simplify the monitoring of your mouse and keyboard input and actions directly on the Mac desktop, create logs of previous button presses, hotkey strokes, mouse clicks, etc., and analyze previous work sessions or regular activities, assess your performance, etc.
