Roon is a set of music playback and management system developed by Roon Labs. Sound quality aside, its interface design, recommendation algorithm and content integration have surpassed many regular music players. Its strongest point is that it has the support of TIDAL and Meridian, which can turn it into a high-quality streaming music player along with a huge online music library.

Roon’s entire system consists of three parts: core, control and output. Core is the server side, used for file storage and transmission. You can choose the officially certificated professional digital player equipment, also use PC, Mac, NAS as the core. Roon’s control covers PC, Mac, smart phones and tablets, is used to play and manage music on the core. Output refers to the hardware decoder products. Roon supports many brands on the market, and different brands can be integrated through Roon.

Roon automatically scans the related devices under the same LAN, as well as the song files stored on the core, and matches the file information with the very detailed data on the Roon server. It defines the music style by analyzing the waveform of music, and displays the dynamic range information of the song with an index. It can automatically adjust the output quality according to the performance of your decoder, and upgrade some low bit rate music. It embeds high fidelity music streaming platforms like TIDAL and Qobuz.
