Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (short for SMR, ANA: ???????RPG in Japan) is a co-production made by the two game industry giants Nintendo and Square Enix for SNES game console in 1996. It is also the first RPG type of work in the whole Super Mario Bros. series.

Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars adopted a 45-degree of view angle, in addition to the introduction of push button style combat system and the joining of action elements, it started to use the rare light source of processing effect at that time, so that its graphics quality was so high that was staggering. As to the gameplot, it was much different from the traditional work. As an attractive RPG game, it contains a lot of hidden elements, which need player’s more patience to explore.

Anyhow, the gameplay changes didn’t affect any fun of Super Mario series at all. Of course, the strong influence of Shigeru Miyamoto won Super Mario RPG numerous awards, and made it among the top sales for long.
