Super Castlevania IV (AKA: 悪魔城ドラキュラ, Akumajō Dracula, Devil’s Castle Dracula) is the only one work allows to whip in eight directions in Nintendo Castlevania series. In addition to 11 levels of straight line plot, it also provides 3 secret states for players to explore.
Although the plot of Super Castlevania 4 is not new, this work still has been successful, and key point lies in its designs for smooth action and large proportion of character. Through the performance advantages of 16-bit console, this game has a lot of very excellent scenes, like the swinging chandelier.
In addition, the character’s action is also added many new elements. For example, you can whip slantways; hook a ring with your whip to wiggle yourself to the place where the jump can’t reach, etc.
