as3sxfr is a free and open-source tool designed for generating sound effects, developed by Tom Vian (SFBTom, SFB Games) from United Kingdom. Its essence is a simple port of sfxr (Bfxr‘s predecessor) – the ActionScript 3 export (from C++ to AS3), taking advantage of the new sound and file capabilities introduced in Flash Player 10, and allows developers to create sound effects in real time using the same parameters as Bfxr.
