Windows Update represents an integral component of Microsoft’s strategy to ensure that all users receive the necessary bug fixes, patches, and enhancements in a timely manner. However, Windows system updates are very criticized, especially the automatic updates of Windows 10, which occasionally prompts that there is insufficient space to download updates, but does not clearly tell you how much it needs.

Windows Update MiniTool (also called WUMT) is an alternative utility to replace the standard Windows Update tool, developed by stupid user from Ru.Board in Russia in 2015. It’s designed to help users manually control important updates for Microsoft Windows with ease. It allows users to search, download, install, postpone, and disable updates.

With Windows Update MiniTool, you can easily find updates for your Windows version, then select the ones you need and download them for subsequent installation, delete already installed updates, or hide updates so you no longer receive information about them. Besides, it allows you to get direct links to *.zip/*.zip/*.psf files responsible for updates, see how much disk space each update requires, and there is also a history section where you can see what updates you installed and when that was done.

Windows Update MiniTool supports all Windows NT-based operating systems running in 32-bit or 64-bit versions, from Windows XP to Windows 11, as well as Windows Server. BTW, the full version of Windows XP is still widely used on lots of industrial equipment, so Windows Update MiniTool is very helpful to users of such old Windows versions.
