DevToys is a collection of free and open-source tools developed based on UWP and specially created for developers. It is known as the developer’s Swiss Army Knife, and can be regarded as a developer-oriented PowerToys. It integrates a lot of functions that programmers often use in their daily work, which are also organized into categories, so that you can quickly find and use them, thereby greatly improving your work efficiency.

DevToys can help you with many daily development tasks, such as file formatting (JSON, SQL, XML), file format conversion (JSON <> YAML), text comparison, regular expression testing, Base64 encoding and decoding, image compression, color blindness simulator, hash generation, UUID generation, etc., which can greatly improve the development efficiency. It has had dozens of useful functions, and more functions will be added in the future. As a result, it can be used as one of the necessary tools for webmasters, web designers, and program developers.

With help of smart detection, DevToys is able to detect the best tool that can handle the data in the Windows clipboard. It works completely offline, which means that none of the data it uses is transmitted to the internet. Additionally, it allows multiple instances to run concurrently. Unfortunately, DevToys is currently only available for Windows 10+. If you’re a developer on Mac, DevUtils basically does the same for you. In contrast, DevUtils has a longer update cycle and more features.
