electerm is a free, open-source Terminal emulator and SSH/SFTP client for Windows, Mac and Linux platforms, based on Electron/SSH2/node-pty/xterm/antd (Ant Design)/SUBX and many other libs, developed by ZHAO Xudong (赵旭东) from China. It is suitable for developers, system administrators and network engineers who need to frequently connect to and operate remote servers.

For programmers and system administrators, a feature-rich, easy-to-use terminal environment is essential for connecting to and managing remote servers. As an excellent terminal emulator that can act as a comprehensive SSH/SFTP client as well as a simplified file manager, electerm is designed for users who want something more versatile than what a standard application of its type can offer, such as PuTTY, SecureCRT, MobaXterm, Xshell.

electerm comes with a simple user interface and rich functions, supports multiple languages, serial ports and quick commands (keyboard operation), file management, cloud bookmark, gists synchronization (can synchronize all user bookmarks, themes and quick commands to GitHub Gist), multiple tags, multiple SSH sessions, port forwarding, and more. These features make managing remote servers easier and more efficient.

In addition, electerm also has functions such as auto-complete, automatic reconnection, multiple themes, custom shortcut keys and custom UI to meet the personalized needs of users, and makes using SSH sessions more convenient and efficient. In short, electerm is generally good. But because it is developed based on Electron, its performance is extremely poor and it takes up a lot of memory.
