Lemuroid is a free and open-source Libretro-based, all-in-one emulator frontend for Android platform, developed by Filippo Scognamiglio (Swordfish90) from Italy in 2020. It’s designed to work on a wide range of Android devices (from phones to TVs) with the best user experience.

Lemuroid originated from a rib of Retrograde, but graduated to a standalone project integrating LibretroDroid, and it is regarded as a much lighter, simpler alternative to RetroArch on Android. It can emulate many classic video game consoles, such as Atari 2600, NES, SNES, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, Sega Mega Drive, PSP, PlayStation, and many more.

In addition to the basic features, Lemuroid also offers a variety of useful functions and features, such as achieves high-performance rendering to improve the image quality and running speed of the game; supports a variety of controllers to make the game operation smoother; has a variety of user-customized options, allowing users to freely set the interface appearance of emulator, keymap, etc., to fully meet personalized needs; has a virtual button with a good feeling, also allows to set key combinations, which is convenient for everyone to complete some complex operations on their mobile phone; and allows online play with other players via Bluetooth.

In short, Lemuroid is an advanced and powerful emulator for Android devices that brings retro gaming to new heights. With it, anyone can play classic console and arcade games from their favorite retro systems on their mobile device. In other words, fans of classic retro gaming can now turn their Android devices into the perfect retro gaming console.
