Mind+ (AKA: Mindplus) is a teenager visual programming software developed based on Scratch 3.0 with independent intellectual property rights, made by DFRobot from China, in 2013. With it, users only need to drag the graphical program blocks to complete programming. They can also use advanced programming languages such as Python/C/C++. It is suitable for on-campus teaching, project creation, maker competitions, and other scenarios, allowing children to easily experience the fun of programming.

The entry threshold for Mind+ is very low. It supports various popular main control boards and hundreds of open-source hardware platforms (such as Arduino, micro:bit, ESP32), supports one-click addition of massive electronic modules, supports AI and IoT functions, has a powerful hardware expansion function library, and can directly program and control dozens of hardware modules (including various sensors, actuators, communication modules, displays, functional modules, etc.). In addition, when programming with graphical building blocks, it can be automatically converted to Python, C or C++ code, which makes comparison learning easy and allows manual code editing, allowing you to easily advance to programming experts.

Mind+ has two modes with relatively large differences, namely “Real-time Mode” and “Upload Mode”, which can be switched in the upper right corner of the software interface. If you don’t have a programming foundation and want to learn programming without relying on hardware to learn about hardware, or if you have Scratch and want to create interactive projects, then select “Real-Time Mode”; If you want to program a lot of hardware modules, and need to run off the computer after you finish the project, then select “Upload Mode”.
