Storyboard Pro (full name Toon Boom Storyboard Pro) is a split-screen storyboard drawing program with brand-new concept and a combination of traditional and digital paperless drawing methods, developed by Toon Boom Animation (from Canada) in collaboration with experts in drawing sub-camera storyboards. It is considered the perfect choice for artists to create digital storyboards, and all storyboard artists can benefit from it.

Storyboard Pro is mainly used in the pre-production process when creating storyboards for a wide variety of project types, such as 2D and 3D animation, stop motion, and live action productions. It comes with all tools you need to create visual motion graphics, animations, and interactive media sequences. Its toolset includes vector and bitmap drawing tools, pencils and textured brushes, a built-in camera, audio tools, a timeline for timing control, and a 3D toolset to integrate imported 3D models.

As a comprehensive animation drawing and storyboard authoring software, Storyboard Pro combines drawing, scripting, camera control, animation creation, and more, and can integrate seamlessly with Harmony. It supports a number of 3D models, so you can import 3D objects in FBX, Alembic, Collada, OBJ, or 3DS format. In addition, it also allows adding annotations, comments, recording audio notes, dynamic changes, and provides other advanced and flexible drawing and sketching tools, as well as powerful 2D or 3D camera control.
