Dead Cells is a 2D action adventure game for PC, game console and mobile platforms that combines the elements and gameplays of Roguelike, Metroidvania and Soulslike games, developed and published by Motion Twin from France. If you like games such as The Binding of Isaac, Enter the Gungeon, Metroid and Castlevania, then Dead Cells should not to be missed.

We can think of Dead Cells as a RogueVania (Rogue Castlevania, not Rogue Metroidvania) type of game, which is both highly playable and challenging (high difficulty), and has achieved a delicate balance. The game has a non-linear progression, where players explore a huge castle with ever-changing rooms at their own pace in a cycle of killing and dying. There is no save point in the game, everything can only be restarted after death, so players need to keep learning and trying.

In game, players need to hone their combat skills in battle after battle, be proficient in various weapons and spells with unique attributes and usages, and regard positioning operations such as rolling and dodging as instincts to escape attacks from those unexpected enemies, and confront vicious guards and bosses. In repeated death, players can continue to unlock new levels and discover new surprises, such as hidden rooms, secret passages, and fascinating landscapes hidden in the corners of the castle.
