Pokémon (AKA: ポケモン, short for Pocket Monsters, ポケットモンスター) is one of the most popular video game series in the world, developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo from Japan in 1996. 田尻 智 first conceived the creation of Pokémon series between 1989 and 1990, when Game Boy first became popular. The whole idea of the Pokémon world came from his childhood love to insects collection.
As a game primarily based on RPG elements and supplemented by strategy and action elements, the unique game system of Pokémon has been widely welcomed by the video game players around the world. The entire series has run through Nintendo’s various generations of handheld game consoles. Games in the series are usually released and sold in pairs, and the remake often appears several years after the original game was released. The main series consists of role-playing games, while the side series includes other genres, such as action role-playing games, puzzle games, and digital pets.
Pokémon’s games are divided into different generations due to its large number, depending on the number of Pokémons they cover, the platforms they are for, and the time they were released. As of writing this post, it has published 8 generations, dozens of games for Nintendo’s various game platforms (Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo Switch). When a game in the main series introduces new Pokémons, characters, and gameplays, this game is considered to have entered the next generation of the game series.
Guinness World Records awarded the Pokémon series of games eight records in 2008, including “Most successful RPG series throughout the game history” and “Game series with the most spin-off films”. At the same time, as the best game work ever released by Nintendo rather than made by Nintendo, Pokémon is also considered one of the most coveted game series. This is thanks to its addictive game mechanics (the collection element makes the game attractive).
In this post, AppNee collects and shares almost all works of Pokémon series (in English only). Besides, we also share some fan-made or hacked versions. As usual, most download links are reserved. If you need them, just send the games you want via email, then we will upload the ones for you.
