Timespinner is a well-made 2D Castlevaina-like and metroidvania-style action adventure indie game developed by Lunar Ray Games and published by Chucklefish. The game was inspired by classic ’90s video games, such as Castlevania, Mega and Star Ocean.

Toziuha Night is a metroidvania-like, pixel-style independent 2D action adventure game series, developed by an amateur game developer Danny Garay from Nicaragua, using Godot game engine. Danny Garay is a big fan of the Castlevania series, which shows how much his games have been influenced by Castlevania works.

Door Kickers is a small Real-Time Strategy indie game developed by KillHouse Games (the development team that made the famous module Project Reality for Battlefield 2) from Romania in 2014. It has a lot in common with Frozen Synapse both visually and playfully. However, the user interface and visual effects of the latter are more abstract.
