Popcorn Time – A whole new way to watch movies and TV shows

The popularity of legitimate video services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Hulu has reduced consumer’s demand for BitTorrent protocol based file-sharing services. Of course, the BitTorrent community finally fought back, and BitTorrent based streaming media apps like WebTorrent and Popcorn Time began to fight. Their main feature is that they allow users to play video files directly from BT seed file without having to download the entire video file first, for free.

OBS – Free, open-source and cross-platform live streaming and recording tool

Due to the popularity of live streaming, the success of XSplit Broadcaster intensified the competition within the Internet-based broadcasting software industry. OBS is one of the live streaming apps that wants to surpass XSplit. So far, it has been slightly better than XSplit in terms of functionality and performance. In addition, its official said it would be free forever (I hope so). This means that if XSplit doesn’t master some revolutionary new technologies, it will soon be ruined by OBS.
