Shortny is a multifunctional website URL shortening service script developed based on PHP and MySQL. As its name suggests, its file size is quite small – less than 1 MB. The flies in the ointment are: Shortny’s source code does not separate the templates out, and does not yet support a multilingual user interface. Of course, developers with a little understanding of the web front-end technology can further customize and improve it according to their own needs with ease.
