As we all know, the greatest benefits of the image file format are security, stability, and high compression. Therefore, many collectable files are made into ISO or other image file formats for preservation and distribution. Instead of burning an image file as a CD/DVD as before in order to view the files inside, you can always use a file archiver like 7-Zip to direct extract them out (which can be time-consuming), but a better way to do that is use a virtual drive.

Rapid Environment Editor – Easy and visual Windows environment variables editor

Environment variable generally refers to some parameters used in the operating system to specify the running environment of system and software, such as: temporary folder location, and system folder path. Modifying environment variables is a common thing for both programmers and system administrators. But the Windows’ built-in environment variable editor is notoriously unfriendly (for example, the value of “Path” variable is not only displayed on a single line, but also separated by commas, which is very easy to be missed out and cause unnecessary trouble).

[v1.6.722, v1.0.2.0] DWS – Most popular Windows spyware one-click remover

If it’s just some defects and functional degradation in the design, it is negligible for us users. But Windows 10 is not only the one and only one disappointing product that could be like Windows Vista in the whole series. More despicable is – since forced to walk the route of ‘free + social promotion’, Windows 10 finally became the most powerful, perfect and hidden user information gathering tool around the world.

quietHDD – Make your HDD quiet when working with SSD or another HDD

If your laptop has both HDD and SSD installed at the same time (for example: use SSD to load and run the operating system, yet use HDD for storage purpose), then you’ve probably encountered and endured the bother that HDD makes a clatter every few seconds (that’s usually 1, 3, or 10 seconds). Especially if you’re using Western Digital, Seagate or Hitachi’s hard drive products.

[v12.25] Polygon Cruncher – 3D meshes simplifying, optimizing edge tool

If a 3D scene has a large number of polyhedral models, not only will this cause the reading and displaying speed of the entire scene to become significantly slower, but also the file size will become too large. Fortunately, the mesh of 3D models often comes with a lot of unnecessarily and complex geometries that can be simplified without compromising the model’s detail and quality. At this point, we can ask help for Polygon Cruncher.
