SocksCap used to be the most popular proxy client made by Permeo for Windows XP. Unfortunately, Permeo gave up the maintenance of SocksCap so it couldn’t be used on a 64-bit OS. In essence, SocksCap64 is a 64-bit version of SocksCap that perfectly supports Windows XP and higher versions (both 32-bit and 64-bit), which is implemented based on the DLL injection technology. It was originally designed to help the author (Taro Labs from China) himself reduce the connection delay when playing cross-regional online games.

After selecting Building a Game with Unity and Blender for me to formally learn to use Unity to develop my own ARPG-like game, I also selected Building an FPS Game with Unity as the second tutorial book to be read, with which I intended to try to develop a FPS-like game of my own too. After comparing Sams Teach Yourself, Unity Game Development in 24 Hours and Building a Game with Unity and Blender these two books, I finally decided to select the latter as the successor to Unity’s official tutorial “TANKS!” and the first official ebook for me to formally and systematically learn Unity game development. The reason is simple: this book is very thin (with only 250 pages); there is only one game development case throughout the entire book, and the game is of type A-RGP that I urgently need to learn about.
